The Pog is back

May 23rd, 2008 | By: j | 2 Comments »

The great news is that “The Pog” Emanuel Pogatetz will be available at the start of the Euro’s.

Facing a two-match ban, he will be able to serve these with exhibition matches given a rule change that applies bans to friendlies. Therefore with the upcoming friendlies against Nigeria and Malta, he will be available for the start of the Euro’s.

“The Pog”, who plays for plays for Middlesbrough in the Premier League, is simply intense and is a fan-favorite wherever he plays. His return will shore up the back line as he is likely to be paired with and György Garics, Sebastian Prödl and Martin Stranzl.

Do not tease us so. Give us a youtube video showing us what he did to deserve the ban! :-)

yes, so true – The Pog. One of the most intense players you’ll see on the pitch is back! I’m seeing what I can dig out on clips but the ban came from the hockey game that erupted during the Austria – Northern Ireland 2005 match after he was the victim of a studs-up challenge by Damien Johnson.
