György Garics to Atalanta

Just as the transfer window opened, 24 year-old defender György Garics, who has fourteen caps for Austria, has moved to Atalanta from Napoli of Serie A. György featured heavily in the defensive effort against Germany and known for his outstanding work-rate.

He really impressed me with Naples. I only found out that he was Austrian at Euro 2008! I thought he was Hungarian, haha! A remnant of the Empire!

well he actually was born in Hungary so you have a point. However I’m the one who usually brings up odd little trivia like this - lol

and of course I keep comments of the Habsburgs to a minimum : )
