Andreas Ivanschitz to Panathinaikos

There is a host of rumors circulating about Austrian team members on the move to new clubs.

The first piece of concrete news is with Austrian captain Andreas Ivanschitz. While there had been considerable mention linking him to Newcastle and Manchester City of the Premier League as well as two undisclosed Russian clubs, a deal had been worked out with Panathinaikos of the Greek Super League. Andreas had been on loan from Red Bull Salzburg since August 2006 and had noted a desire to remain in Athens.

There are considerable rumors involving Jürgen Säumel and Jürgen Macho (it’s a Jürgen thing) and I’ll post once I can substantiate them.
